By consistently observing the solar panels, operating at their optimal efficiency, it becomes possible to promptly identify any system defects. An Internet of Things implementation designed for monitoring solar PV plants comprises three main components: data collection, a data gateway, and a display integrated into a smartphone app.
The accuracy of the data collection achieved was impressive, with an average data transmission time of 53.02 s to the smartphone application in graphical form. These results strongly suggest the effectiveness of the proposed monitoring approach, supporting both local and remote monitoring of a solar PV system.
To achieve this, a remote monitoring system is necessary, utilizing the Internet of Things to gather and transmit data. This study aims to utilize the Internet of the Things to monitor solar photovoltaic systems and assess their effectiveness.
