This manual deconstructs the BESS into its major components and provides a foundation for calculating the expenses of future BESS initiatives. For example, battery energy storage devices can be used to overcome a number of issues associated with large-scale renewable grid integration. As grid modernisation gains traction, these systems will play an increasingly important role in meeting the ever-growing demand for clean, reliable power. However, the development of BESS projects comes with its own formidable set of challenges.
