In response, China's Ultra-High Voltage transmission project represents a groundbreaking advancement, enabling clean power transfer across vast distances and at large capacities. This infrastructure is pivotal in addressing the issue of reverse distribution and is crucial for advancing the goals of energy transition.
Our results indicate that UHV transmission projects play a crucial role in speeding up power transmission of large-scale clean energy bases and realizing the cross-regional allocation of power resources. This study conducts mechanism analysis from two perspectives: energy production and consumption.
The mechanism analysis shows that the opening of UHV makes long-distance power transmission possible, transforming the pattern of power supply from “coal transport on the ground” to “electricity transmission in the sky”.
